Gordon’s Castle, Builder of Fine Homes is dedicated to articulating a vision of elegant, custom, single-family homes that utilize unique floor plans and classic architecture, while featuring exceptional energy efficiency and the latest in tested technology.

The Castle Collection features estate-size residences and homesites that offer either breathtaking Intracoastal vistas or magnificent nature preserve views.

The Portfolio Collection homes are located on homesites of a more modest scale; however the Gordon’s Castle approach to design remains the same. The company’s signature look of understated elegance demands attention to every detail, beginning with the preservation of the natural tree canopy and maximizing the front setback to provide a gracious entry.

James Sutton is the company’s CEO and Senior Manager.He has a marketing and management background based on his experience with clients such as Proctor & Gamble and Sharp Electronics. He also worked for ABC-TV News.

Leigh Weaver’s design background is multifaceted. She is an artist of local renown. Her work in sculpture stands as a Jacksonville landmark and is the city’s enduring symbol of strength. TOUCHDOWN, the symbol of the Jaguars football team, has been a photo opportunity for fans, Monday Night Football telecasts from Jacksonville and the Super Bowl since 1996. Leigh is also a painter, who’s fine sense of hue as well as ability to combine colors and materials, has carried over into interior design of architectural spaces. The Santa Teresa is a reflection of her sense of architectural scale, material selections, understated elegance and taste.

"We focus on classical architectural values which have stood the test of time. For that reason, our architects are trained and true to authentic proportions of architectural elements like arches and columns for specific classic styles of homes like French Country, Florentine, Spanish Mediterranean or Federal among others. That's a radically different approach from modernist or what some have called a mish mosh of styles with no lineage. Gordon's Castle sets itself apart from most other builders by designing the interior to be as true to the selected classic architectural style as the home's facade. Nevertheless, each room should be sufficiently different to represent a new experience. We believe strong design helps make a special if not unique product which maximizes value over time.

The Gordon’s Castle, LLC construction staff boasts more than 20 years in building experience. The company’s construction managers include a certified builder, licensed to build residential structures large enough to meet commercial standard requirements. All GCLLC managers have significant experience in meeting the rigorous demands of custom clients and high end residential building in Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
